Community at the Howard Centre
The Howard Centre is located in the centre of Welwyn Garden City and plays host to a number of activities and events designed to involve people of all ages.
These range from children’s activities in the school holidays to seasonal activities.
As well as these regular activities, we support our community in a number of other ways, including helping local charities by holding fund raising events and providing charities with fund-raising opportunities.
We also participate in national community events which are sponsored by our centre owners, Land Securities Group PLC.
Charity Support
The Howard Centre has a long standing relationship with the Isabel Hospice and hosts their annual Lights of Light ceremony. The centre also has been a key partner in the Hospice’s 25th Anniversary Appeal.
This is a photo of all the Howard Centre Management staff, Security guards and families who participated in the Isabel Hospice Christmas Fun Run December 2007. We managed to raise £2,000 towards the charity!
