Howard Centre Christmas Fun Run
Date: 17 Dec 2007
The Howard Centre management staff were out last Sunday running around Stanborough Lakes for Isabel Hospice’s first ever Jingle Bells and Bows Fun Run. The Howard Centre were the main sponsors of the day, together with Herts Phoenix Running club, The Welwyn Hatfield Times and Hertbeat fm radio with over 350 people taking part.
The team of ten really got into the spirit of things with their fancy dress costumes, which included a gingerbread man, snowman and even Ebenezer the Bear, who was previously the centre’s mascot came out of retirement for the day. The centre’s Marketing Manager Shirley Harper said “everyone had a great time in spite of the rain and cold weather and we estimate we will have raised at least £3,000 from our team efforts”. Isabel Hospice is the centre’s nominated charity and the fun run is one of many fundraising activities supported throughout.
